In light of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel advisory for its citizens. Specifically, the advisory urges Singaporeans to postpone any non-essential trips to Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan.
The ministry stressed the importance of vigilance, advising its nationals to avoid large crowds, stay informed through local news, adhere to local authorities' instructions, and register with the MFA. This advisory builds on an earlier one from April 30, which highlighted risks in certain areas of Pakistan.
Consequently, travel agencies in Singapore are reassessing tours to the affected areas, while flights to and from Pakistan have experienced cancellations, affecting over 50 routes and causing airlines to reconsider their schedules.
