Parliament Praises Armed Forces for 'Operation Sindoor'
The Public Accounts Committee celebrated the armed forces' successful Operation Sindoor in targeting terrorisms in Pakistan and PoK. The operation was launched in response to the Pahalgam massacre of 26 civilians. PAC stressed people-centric issues and CAG report audits in its yearly agenda.

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament passed a resolution on Thursday commending the armed forces for their successful execution of 'Operation Sindoor'. This military campaign targeted terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
In the opening session of the newly-formed 2025-26 PAC, chaired by K C Venugopal, the committee expressed unanimous support and congratulations for the operation that followed the tragic killing of 26 civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Moving forward, PAC members highlighted the significance of addressing people-related issues along with conducting thorough audits of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports as part of the agenda for the year.
