In a notable reshuffle, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has shifted the responsibilities among his cabinet. Senior Minister Duraimurugan, an experienced hand in the law department, now resumes oversight of legal affairs, succeeding S Regupathy.
S Regupathy, who has extensive experience, particularly in environmental governance during the UPA regime, will manage the minerals and mines portfolio, a role of significant importance in resource management.
The official statement released by Raj Bhavan specified the portfolio realignment, although the rationale behind this strategic move remains unclarified. This comes amid other recent ministerial changes within the state government.
