In a stark statement, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has called on the Indian government to curtail media propaganda inflaming tensions between India and Pakistan. Raut emphasized that such narratives undermine the morale of the armed forces amidst escalating engagements at the border, threatening civilian lives.
During a press briefing, Raut urged against the celebration of conflict and instead called for unwavering support for soldiers and families affected by the turmoil. He pointed out that the celebrations often occur far from the regions directly impacted by the cross-border hostility.
Highlighting the dire conditions in regions like Jammu and Kashmir, Raut condemned the public's misplaced enthusiasm for war, noting 15 deaths in Poonch due to recent shelling. Citing the ultimate sacrifice of soldiers like Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar, Raut stressed the responsibility of citizens and political parties to stand in solidarity with the armed forces.
