Diplomatic Precision: India's Response to Conflict Escalation

India's response to the conflict escalation initiated by Pakistan with terrorist attacks in Pahalgam was meticulous and targeted at terror infrastructure, according to Vikram Doraiswami, the Indian High Commissioner to the UK.

In a series of interviews with UK media, Doraiswami emphasized that India has consistently pursued a strategy to avoid military escalation, focusing solely on dismantling terrorist networks without targeting Pakistan's military or national infrastructure.

The commissioner urged the international community to pressure Pakistan into taking de-escalation steps, a move he argues should have been compelled three decades ago. Despite ample opportunities to de-escalate, Pakistan reportedly continues to aggravate the tensions, as per the Indian envoy.
