In a forceful rebuttal, Samajwadi Party MP Rajeev Rai dismissed US President Donald Trump's assertions of facilitating a diplomatic 'trade deal' aimed at establishing peace between India and Pakistan. Rai urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to present the facts and clarify the misleading narrative propagated by Trump.

Addressing ANI, Rai expressed skepticism over Trump's decision to engage with Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir, rather than its Prime Minister, implying a misrepresentation of actual power dynamics within Pakistan. Rai, who participated in an international delegation promoting India's zero-tolerance against terrorism, emphasized that the Prime Minister must publicly refute Trump's misleading statements.

Rai continued to criticize Trump's remarks, calling them a businessman's rhetoric that damages diplomatic relations. He highlighted how the perceived power in Pakistan lies with its military and urged Modi to counter Trump's version of events to prevent public misinformation.
