Sena Divisive Drama: Thackeray Faction's Foundation Day Fiasco
The Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena ridiculed the Uddhav Thackeray faction for marking the party's foundation day, arguing it was formed only three years ago. Amidst social media mockery, both factions held separate events commemorating the day, highlighting the divided state of the party since last year's split.

The internal strife within the Shiv Sena resurfaced as the faction led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde taunted its rival, the Uddhav Thackeray group, over the celebration of the party's foundation day.
The Sena Shinde faction asserted that the Thackeray group did not exist until October 2022, and humorously questioned their right to commemorate the event in a social media cartoon that quickly gained traction online.
The split between factions has marked the political landscape since June 2022, with each group holding separate events to observe the foundational milestone: Shinde at the NSCI Dome and the Thackeray group at Shanmukhand Hall.
