On Thursday, the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) organized a significant 'Mega Job Fair' at Talkatora Stadium to honor the 55th birthday of Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Billed as a 'historic platform for employment,' the event saw participation from over 100 companies offering more than 5,000 job opportunities. The IYC highlighted that 8,500 youths registered to attend, and 3,500 received job offers on the spot.
Several senior Congress figures, including K C Venugopal and Sachin Pilot, proclaimed the necessity of such initiatives amidst rising unemployment and criticized the ruling BJP for failing to fulfill its job creation promises.
