As conflict escalates between Israel and Iran, countries are orchestrating large-scale evacuations to bring their nationals to safety. Airspace closures across the Middle East have compelled governments to resort to land and sea routes, facilitating departures from the crisis-ridden regions.
Bulgaria has temporarily relocated its diplomatic staff from Tehran to Baku, Azerbaijan, and successfully evacuated 89 of its citizens alongside 59 others from various nations from Israel through a coordinated effort via Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.
China, meanwhile, has removed over 1,600 citizens from Iran and several hundred more from Israel. France and Germany are providing options for their nationals to leave via neighboring countries, ensuring their safe return home. The European Union also plays a supportive role in these coordinated evacuation efforts.
