Modi's Mega Development Push: New Projects and Initiatives in Bihar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar's Siwan district to inaugurate and lay the foundation for various development projects, including railway lines, sewage treatment plants, and water supply systems. The visit aims to boost infrastructure and support BJP's prospects in the upcoming assembly elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Siwan district in Bihar this Friday, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for numerous development initiatives. Among these, a significant highlight is the inauguration of a new Vaishali–Deoria railway line project valued over Rs 400 crore, alongside the launch of a new train service.
Modi's visit is seen as a strategic boost for the BJP in the run-up to the state assembly elections. During his visit, he will also inaugurate a Vande Bharat Express connecting Patliputra and Gorakhpur and flag off the first export locomotive manufactured at the Marhowrah plant. His agenda underscores a commitment to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in Bihar.
Alongside transportation projects, Modi will focus on environmental and urban development, inaugurating six sewage treatment plants under the Namami Gange project worth over Rs 1,800 crore, and laying the foundation for substantial water supply projects. Additionally, he will initiate 500 MWh battery energy storage systems across Bihar and distribute the first instalment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana benefits to recipients in the region.
