A fatal accident unfolded in Pakistan's scenic Swat district as a boat carrying tourists capsized on Sunday. Rescue authorities confirmed that at least seven individuals lost their lives in the incident.
The boat, which was ferrying ten tourists in the Shahi Bagh area of Kalam, succumbed to the waters. While locals managed to save three people, recovery operations for the remaining are ongoing. Authorities reported that four bodies have been retrieved so far, but efforts continue given the demanding terrain and the area's remoteness.
Dr Amjad Ali, a Member of the National Assembly, acknowledged the tragedy and has conveyed his condolences to the affected families. He has urged local teams to accelerate the mission to find those still unaccounted for.
