Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the unwavering courage of security forces in the Bastar region, Chhattisgarh, during their significant anti-Naxal operations. His engagement, part of the 'Sankalp - Interaction with Force Commanders and Commandos', highlighted the recent success in eliminating CPI (Maoist) general secretary Nambala Keshav Rao, known as Basavaraju.
Despite adverse weather conditions canceling his Narayanpur visit, Shah maintained a robust schedule, laying the foundation for the National Forensic Science University and a central forensic laboratory. He reinforced the government's stance against Naxalism through security meetings, emphasizing continued operations even amidst the monsoon season.
On the eve of his visit, Shah chaired crucial meetings with top police officials from seven states to strategize ongoing efforts against Left-wing extremism. Since the beginning of last year, over 400 Maoists have been neutralized, showcasing a relentless campaign against insurgency in the region.
