BJP Slams Congress Over US Travel Advisory Claims
The BJP criticized Congress for claiming the US travel advisory favors Pakistan over India. BJP's Amit Malviya highlighted that Pakistan and Bangladesh are at 'Level 3,' advising reconsidered travel. India, at 'Level 2,' suggests increased caution. Congress decried this as a foreign policy failure while BJP accused Congress of backing Pakistan.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hit back at the Congress on Tuesday over the latter's assertion concerning the US travel advisories. The Congress claimed the advisories unjustly disparaged India compared to its neighbor, Pakistan.
Amit Malviya from BJP's IT department refuted Congress's allegations, citing that the US had categorized Pakistan and Bangladesh at 'Level 3'—where citizens are advised to reconsider travel, while India was at 'Level 2'—where increased caution is recommended. The Congress insisted this cast India in an unfavorable light, arguing it reflects poorly on the Modi administration's handling of foreign affairs.
The US travel warning comes amidst claims by Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, suggesting that terrorism threats in Pakistan have not prompted similar advisories for that nation. She criticized the US's inconsistency, highlighting Pakistan's known harboring of terrorists.
