In a recent phone conversation with US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that Russia's campaign against Ukraine will persist until all objectives are accomplished, according to Kremlin sources.
Following their conversation, Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov announced that while Moscow remains committed to finding a diplomatic solution, it will not ignore the conflict's root causes. Despite calls from Trump for an immediate ceasefire, Putin expressed willingness to enter negotiations with Ukraine.
The leaders also touched upon other global issues, including the geopolitical situation in Iran and West Asia. Putin stressed the necessity for resolving conflicts through diplomatic means, referencing historical ties between Russia and the US during America's struggle for independence.
