The Kremlin has officially responded to a statement made by U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he set a shorter deadline for Russia to cease its military activities in Ukraine. Failure to comply would result in new sanctions against Russia and its export customers, Trump warned.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov communicated to reporters that, despite the U.S.'s ultimatum, Russia remains steadfast in what it terms a 'special military operation' in Ukraine. Peskov noted that, parallel to military efforts, Russia is committed to pursuing peace negotiations to resolve the conflict.
The development signals potential escalation in diplomatic tensions, with both nations keenly eyeing ways to protect their interests amid ongoing political frictions.
