External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar firmly dismissed allegations of external mediation in India's Operation Sindoor with Pakistan, affirming there was no involvement from the United States. Addressing the Rajya Sabha, Jaishankar clarified that there were no communications between PM Modi and US President Trump during the period of the Pahalgam terror attack.
Jaishankar criticized Pakistan's cross-border terrorism, emphasizing that Operation Sindoor was a direct response to the horrifying Pahalgam attack. He condemned the brutality of the attack and the need for accountability, stating the Modi government's firm stance on holding the perpetrators accountable.
The Minister also outlined India's success in applying international pressure on Pakistan, particularly highlighting actions through the Financial Action Task Force. With India's leadership, the global spotlight is now on terrorism, with recognition that the TRF, linked to the Pahalgam attack, is a proxy of Pakistan-based LeT.
