The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a scathing critique of the BJP government, alleging that its efforts to mitigate flooding in Delhi have been overly concentrated on Minto Bridge to the detriment of the city's other vulnerable areas.
AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed the BJP allocated funds solely for Minto Bridge, mocking the supposed independence of the area. In a jibe during a press conference, Bharadwaj sarcastically called Minto Bridge a 'separate state' led by its own 'Chief Minister and PWD Minister'.
In response, BJP representatives argued that significant improvements mean Minto Bridge is no longer flood-prone, shifting blame to AAP for not submitting a required audit report. The BJP also refuted allegations of current flooding through videos, calling AAP's statements mere political theatrics.
