YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to visit Nellore on July 31 to meet K Govardhan Reddy, a jailed party leader, amid heightened security measures, according to a party announcement on Wednesday.
The visit follows a series of tours by Jagan Mohan Reddy which attracted significant public attention. His itinerary includes visiting jailed YSRCP leader and former minister K Govardhan Reddy at the Nellore district Central Jail. Afterward, he plans to meet party leader Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy and relatives, in light of a recent attack on Nallapureddy's home, allegedly by TDP supporters.
To ensure safety, Andhra Pradesh Police have imposed strict restrictions, deploying nearly 900 personnel, and outlined measures such as static posts, traffic diversions, and surveillance. The prison manual permits entry for only three individuals, with no allowances for rallies, as per SP AR Damodar. Any rule violations will lead to legal repercussions.
