Deve Gowda expressed surprise at Trump's baseless critiques of India's economy and global conduct, accusing him of disrespecting numerous countries. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government for maintaining its resolve against Trump's attempts at bullying, especially in defending national interests.
The 92-year-old leader emphasized India's economic achievements, rebutting Trump's characterization of the Indian economy as 'dead'. He warned Indian opposition leaders favoring Trump's views and praised the Modi administration for its dedicated efforts toward national resurgence.
