In a strategic move reflecting its leadership priorities, the BJP has appointed senior party members to pivotal roles. BJP MLA Arvinder Singh Lovely will now chair the Trans Yamuna Development Board, while legislator Raj Kumar Chauhan will lead the Delhi Village Development Board. This was announced following a high-level meeting on Saturday.
The decision, confirmed by official sources, was made during a Cabinet meeting and will be formalized with the imminent release of notifications. Chauhan expressed gratitude for the position, promising to justify the confidence placed in him by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
The appointments also highlight recent political shifts, with both Lovely and Chauhan transitioning from the Congress to the BJP. Lovely's win in the Gandhi Nagar constituency further secured his standing in the party, replacing incumbent Anil Bajpayi and triumphing over AAP's Naveen Chaudhary.
