Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has called on Rahul Gandhi to act responsibly within the constitutional bounds after the Supreme Court censured the Congress leader. The court's rebuke followed derogatory remarks allegedly made by Gandhi about the Indian Army during his Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Supreme Court Justices Dipankar Datta and Augustine George Masih admonished Gandhi for claiming China's occupation of Indian territory, questioning the credibility of his assertions. CM Yadav criticized Gandhi, accusing him of undermining democratic pillars like the courts and the Army.
Yadav asserted that while former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee elevated the opposition leader's dignity, Gandhi's actions contribute to Congress's decline. In the 2008 Malegaon blast case, Yadav commented on the court's dismissal of 'saffron terrorism' accusations against BJP members.
