The BJP has launched a scathing attack on Uddhav Thackeray, a key leader in Shiv Sena (UBT), over his 'silence' concerning comments made by Jitendra Awhad, an ally from NCP (SP), about Sanatan Dharma.
Awhad's remarks, which labeled Sanatan Dharma as extreme, have ignited backlash, with BJP leaders questioning whether Thackeray endorses such views, or if he has succumbed to Congress's alleged agenda of minority appeasement.
Keshav Upadhye, BJP spokesperson, accused Congress of attempting to vilify Sanatan Dharma post the 2008 Malegaon blast case, stating that forces are misleadingly branding the faith as extremist, erasing India's history of inclusivity.
