BJP MLC Parinay Fuke ignited a political storm on Monday after declaring himself the 'father' of Shiv Sena in Bhandara district. The comment, made during a public meeting, has not been well-received by the Shiv Sena faction led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
In reaction to Fuke's claim, Sanjay Kumbhalkar, Shiv Sena's Lok Sabha in-charge for Bhandara, demanded a public apology from Fuke within 12 hours. He warned that failure to comply would result in a retaliation reflective of Shiv Sena's combative style.
Fuke justified his statement by comparing the perception of success and blame within a family, suggesting he was unfairly targeted. However, Kumbhalkar and other party leaders argue such assertions undermine Shiv Sena's legacy and have threatened further repercussions if Fuke remains unapologetic.
