In a fervent critique, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making baseless and unnecessary remarks against India's constitutional institutions. Saini asserted that despite Gandhi's repeated attempts at political relevance over the past two decades, he has consistently failed to make a significant impact.
Gandhi's recent explosive claims of a 'huge criminal fraud' in the electoral process, allegedly involving collusion between the BJP and the Election Commission, were dismissed by Saini as another desperate bid to retain political relevancy. Saini further claimed that Gandhi's actions have not only hampered his career but also led the Congress party into decline.
Amidst the escalating political tension, Chief Electoral Officers from three states have requested Gandhi provide evidence for his allegation of 'vote theft' in Karnataka. They have asked for details of electors purportedly wrongly included or excluded from voter lists. This development surfaces as Gandhi's assertions threaten to further polarize the political climate.
