On Sunday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha extended his congratulations to Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan for being nominated as the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) candidate for the vice-presidential post.
''Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Hon'ble Governor of Maharashtra, C P Radhakrishnan Ji, on being declared the NDA's candidate for the vice president position,'' the chief minister shared via Facebook, emphasizing Radhakrishnan's dedication and leadership.
State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee echoed these sentiments, publicly congratulating Radhakrishnan. BJP president J P Nadda announced the nomination, revealing it followed extensive discussions led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nadda expressed hope for opposition support, with the vice-presidential election set for September 9.
