U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced on Tuesday that she revoked the security clearances of 37 current and former intelligence officials. Gabbard accused these professionals of 'politicizing and manipulating intelligence,' stating the action was directed by President Donald Trump.

This decision follows repeated assertions from Gabbard that the U.S. intelligence community is being weaponized. Just last month, the Department of Justice formed a strike force to investigate her claims. Trump has openly supported Gabbard, particularly after her implications involving Democrats and Russian interference in U.S. elections.

Trump alleged, without evidence, that former President Obama led a conspiracy to undermine his 2016 campaign by falsely linking him to Russia. Meanwhile, an investigation concluded that although Russia attempted to influence the election, there was no conclusive impact on voting outcomes.
