A 25-year-old man from Punjab, Buta Singh, intended to study in Russia but was allegedly tricked into joining the Russian Army. Originally travelling on a student visa, his situation has now become a desperate plea for help to the Indian government.
Singh's family, based in the Moga district, have expressed concern over his safety after learning of his fate through viral videos. They claim he, along with other Indians, was deceitfully recruited to fight in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
