In a strategic reshuffle, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has allocated portfolios to the recently appointed ministers in the MDA-II government. This move follows significant cabinet adjustments made earlier this week.
The United Democratic Party leader Metbah Lyngdoh now oversees the Power, Water Resources, and Taxation departments. Fellow party member Lahkmen Rymbui has been put in charge of Education alongside Revenue and Disaster Management.
Further assignments include Brening A Sangma with Excise and Border Development, while former Deputy Speaker Timothy D Shira takes on Tourism and Agriculture. Health, Sports, and Youth have been entrusted to Wailadmiki Shylla, with additional key portfolios assigned to other members. The reshuffle unfolds as eight MLAs step into new ministerial roles.
