In Mohammadpur village, Chandauli district, a gruesome murder has set the local community on edge. Chameli Devi, a 60-year-old resident, was allegedly killed with a brick, police reported on Wednesday.
Authorities suggest the horrific act could be linked to an ongoing property dispute. The investigator team, led by Superintendent of Police Aditya Langhe, quickly arrived on the scene after receiving a report around 11:30 a.m. The victim sustained severe head injuries, leaving a blood-stained brick at the crime site.
Chameli Devi, who lived alone after the deaths of her husband and son, had recently sold a piece of her multiple plots, leading to speculations about the motive. An FIR has been filed based on a complaint from her brother as the probe continues.
