Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, dismissing his 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' as a 'Save the Infiltrators March'. Speaking to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Rohtas, Shah accused the Congress of sidestepping developmental issues to allegedly protect illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh.

Shah criticized the Congress for purportedly spreading misinformation. He questioned the focus of Rahul Gandhi's yatra, arguing that it was more about safeguarding infiltrators than addressing vital concerns like education, employment, and infrastructure. Shah challenged the legitimacy of giving infiltrators voting rights and other benefits, implying that Congress prioritizes a vote bank over the nation's youth.

The Home Minister urged BJP cadres to alert citizens about the potential risks of a Congress government, emphasizing that every district in Bihar could be overrun by infiltrators. His comments come as both BJP and Congress ramp up election campaigns in Bihar ahead of the state assembly elections this October or November.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi criticized the Election Commission of India for allegedly hindering a voter fraud investigation led by Karnataka's CID. Accusing the Chief Election Commissioner of protecting 'vote thieves', Gandhi demanded the release of data crucial to the investigation, citing delays and incomplete responses from the poll body.

Opposition parties have persistently alleged that the Election Commission, in collaboration with the BJP, manipulates voter rolls across various elections to include and exclude votes fraudulently. The ongoing dispute accentuates the charged political atmosphere as parties vie for influence in the upcoming elections.
