Rahul Gandhi intensified his allegations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accusing him of protecting those behind systemic voter fraud in India. Speaking at Indira Bhawan, the Congress leader demanded urgent transparency from the Election Commission regarding data requested by Karnataka CID.
Citing examples from Karnataka's Aland and Maharashtra's Rajura constituencies, Gandhi claimed fraudulent voter deletions and additions are part of a broader scheme to undermine Indian democracy. He warned that the Election Commission's non-compliance would implicate it in the so-called 'murder of the Constitution'.
Gandhi also teased forthcoming revelations that he claims will irrefutably expose the scale of the malpractice. He suggested that internal sources from the Election Commission were assisting in uncovering 'vote chori' instances and called on young Indians to rally against these practices threatening their democratic rights.
