Blue Energy Motors Secures $30 Million to Power India's Green Mobility Revolution
Blue Energy Motors (BEM), a leader in LNG and electric heavy-duty trucks, has raised a total of $50 million. Backed by Essar and FPT, the new $30 million funding will help BEM accelerate production and enhance its green mobility initiatives, crucial for India's transportation sector decarbonization.

Blue Energy Motors (BEM), recognized as India's leading manufacturer of LNG and electric heavy-duty trucks, has announced securing fresh funding that brings its total capital raised to USD 50 million. The raised funds are set to propel the company's ambitious vision for green mobility, supported by partners Essar and FPT (Iveco Group).
The latest funding round saw an infusion of USD 30 million from investors Nikhil Kamath and Omnitex Industries. This financial boost is expected to unlock the full manufacturing capacity of BEM, which stands at 10,000 trucks annually, enhance the development of LNG and EV trucks, and expand the company's green mobility presence nationwide.
According to Anirudh Bhuwalka, founder and managing director of BEM, the funds will empower the company to advance India's transition to sustainable freight transportation. This aligns with India's goals to decarbonize its transportation sector, which contributes significantly to national carbon emissions. The strategic move strengthens Blue Energy Motors' position at the forefront of the green mobility revolution.
