Fertiliser Scarcity Sparks Uproar in Odisha Assembly

For the third consecutive day, BJD MLAs have disrupted proceedings in the Odisha assembly, protesting against a purported shortage of fertilisers across the state.

The legislators staged a demonstration with placards and banners, drawing attention to the distress faced by farmers and calling for an extensive discussion on the matter.

As tensions escalated, Speaker Surama Padhy was compelled to adjourn the session until 4 pm, while the assembly also paid its respects to former MLA George Tirkey who passed away recently.
