Remembering R Damodar Reddy: A Political Stalwart

Senior Congress leader and former minister R Damodar Reddy passed away in a hospital following a kidney-related illness, at the age of 73.

Reddy, who last served as the IT Minister during Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's tenure, was a five-term assembly member representing Suryapet and Tungaturti. His death was confirmed by Congress party sources on late Wednesday.

His funeral will commence at Tungaturti, Surypet district on October 4, with his body previously resting in Suryapet for the public to pay their respects. Prominent leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, have conveyed their condolences.
