The authorities in Saharanpur took action on Thursday, blocking Lok Sabha MP Chandrashekhar Azad from traveling to Bareilly to meet families affected by recent violence. The police cited security concerns as the reason for this move.

Clashes in Bareilly broke out on September 26 when a large crowd assembled outside a mosque to protest the cancellation of a demonstration over the 'I Love Muhammad' poster row. The situation turned violent, leading to stone-pelting and injuries to police personnel.

Azad, who represents Nagina, denounced the authorities' actions as attempts to stifle dissent and suppress justice. He and his supporters voiced their discontent, with the Bhim Army condemning the move and vowing to fight for social justice.
