The Election Commission is gearing up to engage with political factions in Bihar as the state readies for its assembly elections. Scheduled talks will take place on Saturday, offering a platform for feedback from recognized national and state parties.
Led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, the EC's two-day tour aims to consult major parties, including BJP, Congress, and JD(U). Each party can send up to three representatives.
The updated voter roll, released on September 30, reveals a significant reduction in voters, which has drawn allegations of malpractice from the opposition, who accuse the ruling coalition of manipulating the list for electoral gain.
