Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has made a public appeal to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to allocate a fair number of assembly seats for his Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) in the forthcoming Bihar elections.

Manjhi, who once served as Bihar's Chief Minister, took to social media to express his desire for fairness in seat distribution, echoing the sentiments of Lord Krishna from Ramdhari Singh Dinkar's famous poem 'Rashmirathi'.

While he aims for half the seats, Manjhi is open to settling for 15, which would help HAM gain 'recognized' status from the Election Commission—a milestone yet to be achieved 10 years after the party's formation.
