A five-member delegation from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) traveled to Tripura on Wednesday to show solidarity with local party activists after allegations of vandalism by members of the BJP's youth wing. The delegation includes TMC West Bengal general secretary Kunal Ghosh and ministers.
TMC claimed that its office in Tripura was attacked by BJP affiliates, sparking concern over increasing political violence. This comes after a separate attack on BJP leaders in West Bengal. TMC leader Saayoni Ghosh emphasized that the attack was not initiated by TMC workers.
Abhishek Banerjee, TMC's national general secretary, criticized BJP's actions and vowed to address the issue with the Tripura administration. He expressed determination to confront such intimidation tactics in defense of democracy and party values. The TMC condemned the alleged 'pre-planned' attack, which they claim BJP leaders were behind through a conspiracy.
