Bengal Film Industry Unites for Flood Relief: A Solidarity Pledge

The Bengal film industry has rallied together to support the victims of recent floods and landslides in north Bengal, pledging funds for those affected.
Leading the charge, actors Prosenjit Chatterjee and Dev, along with a coalition of producers and film stars, have initiated a drive to raise money for the relief effort. They aim to provide financial assistance to the families who have lost loved ones and those injured.
In a statement, the Eastern India Motion Pictures Association (EIMPA) reported that approximately Rs 20 lakh had already been raised, with expectations of further contributions. The initiative comes amid recent social media criticism faced by film personalities for not addressing the calamity sooner.
