Mamata Banerjee Blasts Alleged Women's Bill and NRC Conspiracy

Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal, accused the central government of orchestrating a 'conspiracy' to manipulate electoral rolls by linking women's reservation and delimitation bills. She claims these bills are being used as a pretext to implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Addressing a rally in Cooch Behar, Banerjee questioned the delay in implementing the already-passed women's reservation bill and criticized Union ministers for introducing related bills in the Lok Sabha amid opposition protests.

The Trinamool Congress has lodged a complaint against what it calls 'BJP's electoral bribery' through schemes like the Matrishakti Bhorsa Card. Banerjee has galvanized leaders from other states to support her fight against the alleged injustices of the ruling party.
