Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has strongly criticized the Congress and Samajwadi Party for their opposition to the Constitution amendment bill intended to implement a women's quota.

He made these remarks during the 'Jan Aakrosh Mahila Padyatra', a protest march against the bill's defeat, emphasizing that opposition parties had squandered an opportunity provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to change their 'anti-women' image.

Adityanath, joined by top BJP leaders, including his deputies, highlighted the widespread resentment among women against the Congress and its allies, accusing them of maintaining an undemocratic stance that hinders women's empowerment in politics.
