Bihar's Battle: Marching for Women's Rights

Upendra Kushwaha, chief of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), has announced a series of protests across Bihar against the opposition's alleged obstruction of two significant legislative reforms.

The Constitution Amendment Bill aimed at increasing women's quota in legislatures was recently defeated in the Lok Sabha due to insufficient majority support, sparking RLM's protest actions known as 'dhikkar marches.'

Kushwaha argues for fair representation and a fresh delimitation of legislative boundaries, calling for reforms that have been stalled by opposition parties, despite assurances from the Union government and the home minister.
