In a bold political move, AAP leader Sanjay Singh announced the party's intention to seek disqualification of seven MPs who recently switched sides to join the BJP, terming their actions as unconstitutional and illegal.
Addressing this issue, Singh emphasized that the anti-defection law and the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution do not recognize any form of split or faction within the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, regardless of the majority size. This assertion was backed by precedents such as the Shiv Sena case.
Senior AAP figures, including Saurabh Bharadwaj, reaffirmed the party's grassroots strength, insisting that despite these political maneuvers by BJP, their resolve remains unshaken. The party aims to maintain its focus on questioning the current political landscape.
