Shrawon Kumar Takes Helm as JD(U) Legislative Leader
Former Bihar minister Shrawon Kumar has been appointed as JD(U)'s legislative party leader. His selection was endorsed by party president Nitish Kumar during a meeting with MLAs and MLCs. Shrawon Kumar, a long-time associate of Nitish Kumar, represents the Nalanda constituency and has previously held various ministerial portfolios.

Shrawon Kumar, a former minister from Bihar, has been appointed as the leader of JD(U)'s legislative party, according to a notification from the state assembly secretariat on Tuesday.
This decision follows a meeting chaired by the national president of JD(U), Nitish Kumar, where party legislators entrusted him with the decision. Kumar, a trusted confidant of the JD(U) chief, is a veteran politician elected for the seventh term from Nalanda constituency.
Shrawon Kumar has previously managed portfolios such as rural development and social welfare. His appointment comes amidst political shifts with BJP leader Samrat Choudhary becoming the 24th chief minister of Bihar.
