A minor technical issue with the EVMs was noted in Erode's Soorampatti area but was swiftly rectified, according to officials. In Namakkal, at a polling station near the Kollimalai foothills, a malfunctioning EVM/VVPAT unit caused temporary delays before being replaced with a spare unit.
The voting process, part of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, began simultaneously across 234 segments at 7 AM on Thursday, under stringent security measures to ensure a smooth and fair election day.
