Karnataka BJP Demands Apology for Kharge's 'Terrorist' Remark Against PM Modi

The Karnataka BJP on Thursday staged a demonstration at Vidhana Soudha, demanding an apology from AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'terrorist.' The protest, led by state BJP President B Y Vijayendra, witnessed party leaders condemning Kharge's remarks through slogans and placards.

Vijayendra emphasized that Modi's leadership has been globally recognized, with numerous countries bestowing their highest civilian awards upon him. He accused the Congress of failing to reconcile with Modi's widespread popularity, adding that Kharge's comments reflect the party's declining influence.

Opposition leader R Ashoka described Kharge's statement as indicative of the Congress's 'degraded culture,' calling for Kharge's removal as party president. The protest followed Kharge's controversial remarks equating Modi to a terrorist, claiming he undermines democracy.
