IUML Firm on Post-Election CM Decision

IUML leader P K Kunhalikutty expressed that conversations among Congress leaders regarding chief ministerial candidates do not trouble his party. The discussions, he emphasized, are common in Kerala politics.

During the IUML's electoral assessment meeting, Kunhalikutty reinforced that the party signifies a traditional approach; the chief ministerial candidate will be chosen only after election outcomes are disclosed on May 4. He stated, 'These discussions are standard, but our posture remains unwavering.'

Highlighting coalition norms, Kunhalikutty pointed out that the Congress, as the United Democratic Front's (UDF) major ally, usually proposes the chief minister. He noted that public opinion and allied parties' perspectives would be integrated into this decision after election results unveil.
