Fujimori, daughter of the late former president Alberto Fujimori, is attempting to secure the presidency for a fourth time, leading with 17.17% of the vote. Meanwhile, Sanchez, backed by the imprisoned former president Pedro Castillo, holds 12%, narrowly beating out ultra-conservative Rafael Lopez Aliaga.
