Prateek Yadav, son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, passed away at 38. According to sources, he fell seriously ill and was taken to the civil hospital early Wednesday, where he was declared dead.
Known for his enthusiasm for fitness, Prateek chose a path away from the political scene dominated by his family. His relationship with politics was minimal, although his stepbrother, Akhilesh Yadav, is a prominent political figure.
In a contrast to his quiet life, Prateek's wife, Aparna Bisht Yadav, is deeply involved in politics, having joined the BJP and serving as vice chairman of the State Women Commission.
