In a development further intensifying the political tensions, a fresh FIR was registered against Samajwadi Party spokesperson Rajkumar Bhati in Noida. The complaint, filed by Noida resident Sushil Kumar, cites Bhati's alleged derogatory remarks against the Brahmin community during a recent event in Delhi.
This marks the second FIR involving Bhati within a short span, with a similar case having been registered in Ghaziabad earlier. The remarks, captured on a video that went viral, have ignited outrage among Brahmin community members, leading to calls for stringent legal actions and public apologies.
Political figures including Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak have also weighed in, condemning the statements and accusing the Samajwadi Party of harboring divisive ideologies. Tensions continue to rise as community leaders plan further demonstrations to voice their grievances.
